What is Tool Tracking and Management System?

The Tool Tracking and Management System supports dispersed engineers in control and choose the best available tool that should improve quality of task results.
Usually, a project task involves a tool selection, which makes successful reaching of the appointed aims possible. Since there is not only one tool that reaches all appointed aims only, a methodology to find the best tool for a given task should be useful and should improve quality of results. A methodology of tool selection for a task transfers on a quality of the offered product. The product quality depends on actual and essential knowledge of tool functionality.

The proposed method of the information delivery about tools can supplement the tools, which do not possess the function of an automatic update or the implementation of this function is not accepted by a user (e.g., necessity to open additional network ports, lack of information on a change history, etc). The advantages of this method are:

easy deployment of tool tracking in a system,
easy access and management of essential information about tool on time,
based on the standard XML language,
use of a typical port in communication over the Internet (the same as for a web browser),
improvement quality of task results.
